COCONUT COAST

The palms never stop — keep the sand clear

  • Coconuts drop from the palms, and the ones worth dealing with wear a single letter
  • Type it to send a crab — it has to run out there and haul the coconut away, which takes time
  • Send one early and the crab is already waiting where the coconut lands, so it never touches the sand at all
  • You only have a few crabs. While they are all out you can do nothing but watch the beach fill
  • Coconuts already on the sand still wear letters, so a bad patch can be dug back out
  • Fill the beach and she moves her towel. Four of those and she goes home

Difficulty

Sets how fast the coconuts come and how much sand there is to fill — but the part you will feel is the crew: five crabs on Beginner down to three on Master. Fewer crabs is not just harder, it changes what you are deciding.

Letter set

There is no vocabulary here, so this narrows the alphabet the beach throws at you. Only the coconuts worth worrying about wear a letter, and no two wear the same one, so a keypress is never ambiguous.

Keyboard guide

Fades a keyboard across the beach and lights up every letter currently in play, color-coded by the finger that should press it. When stuck keeps it hidden until you miss three keys in a row, then shows it until you get one right.
